Hi, welcome to the forum New here, read this first. 720760

Please be nice and respect other on here, any abuse will result in members being edited or their IP address being banned.

First port of call should be the FAQ at the top of the page, this will answer most day to day things you need to know about the board.

Please try to post in the correct catagorys, this helps people find stuff rather than having to go through all the threads- posts will be moved to the correct section if needed- please don't be offended, it's just tidying the forum.

Spamming, or multiple posting is frowned upon, a bit of fun is fine but putting up several posts when one would do is pointless and can be annoying- use the edit button if you can, thanks.

Ok, getting your profile up together, you can add an avatar, signature and stuff to your profile ( the bit on the left side of the screen) by going to'profile' at the top of the screen and go to the various sections and modify to suit what you want.

Within the profile 'button' there are other headings, try looking at them, you will see various stuff you can adjust to suit how you like .

Navigate the site by clicking on the place you want to go. No need to go ' back ' all the time, just go to the forum you want by clicking on the heading. Try playing, it's quite obvious cheers
Use the buttons next to the 'post reply'or 'new topic' button/logo.( above, in green-the button that is!)
E.G.-------- "The official PDMC forum"-------above will take you back to the list of sections/threads.

Or The PDMC logo will go back to the homepage.

You can post a pic by going to the ' Insert an image ' above the box when you are posting a reply and tell the forum where the pic is located, it needs to be on a hosting site like www.photobucket.com
When you have hosted your pics on photobucket, use the IMG code bit, copy the address and then post it on here and the pic will appear on the post. Email or PM me and i can talk you through it or can post pics for you.

If you want to quote someone, simply press the quote button on their post, you can them edit their quote should you want, then you can comment on it as well.

You can edit your own posts at any time by pressing the --"edit"-- button in the post and you can adjust accordingly-remember to 'send' it after editing!

If you want to report someone( you think a post is wrong/dodgy ect) press the----!---button on the post and you can send a post reporting them to the moderators/admin who can, should they feel fit, delete or modify the post accordingly.(please don't abuse this, please be patient, the admin/moderator have jobs/lives and may not respond instantly.

You can contact a member privately by clicking the ' PM ' button on their profile or on their'post' when they have posted something, this goes to only them and won't be seen by anyone else- like an email basically.
The Forum can put a pop-up telling you of a message, this can be set in your ----profile----preferences section, but some pop-up blockers will stop it( mine does!)
Similarly, the forum can email you to tell of a reply to a thread, this can be turned on or off in your profile as well as on the individual thread.

Links, you can post a link to another site by simply typing in the address like this....

www.suzukiownersclub.co.uk

Thanks for reading, sorry it's so long but it's here to help you, enjoy the forum New here, read this first. 720760

Feel free to ask questions here and i will add them to the post with the answers( i hope) Smile

Dear Mr. SquirrelEater, I have to say that as the owner of a Laverda Jota if anyone can claim to be "Big, Orange, Loud and Proud" then it must be me ;-)

Hi Matt,
Welcome to the forum.
Indeed, knowing someone with an orange Jota that was very loud (when all the cylinders decided to fire at the same time!) I know what you mean. That said, I'm fairly sure my KLV is bigger!
Try posting in the general section for chit chat and in the club related stuff for ,errr, well, club related stuff....... This section is more for information.
Stu.

Edit, Nice KS avatar.
