Submarines

I would like to take this oportunity to state 'for the record', whilst it is true that I have swapped aeroplanes for submarines as my source of employment, I has absolutely nothing to do with the Astute running aground near Skye .

I have however discovered the following startling fact........... The acoustic properties of a carbon composite sonar array enclosure are adversly affected by incorrect orientation of the subsequent layers of pre-preg fibre when applied during wet-lay construction. However some quadriaxials may contain up the four layers of fibre stiched together in the same orientation !

Yeah....yeah...you pilots will tell us lay persons anything

I used to carry out servicing to the Autoclave to a firm who made enclosures of that discription.

So the sonar array is affected by the way the carbon is made? yeah?

why didn't you say that then?!

Is this all dependant upon the state of your flux capacitor??

I'm not too sure Dave, but if it's any help.......... my capacitor is always in a state of flux
