I would like to take this oportunity to state 'for the record', whilst it is true that I have swapped aeroplanes for submarines as my source of employment, I has absolutely nothing to do with the Astute running aground near Skye Submarines 720760 .

I have however discovered the following startling fact........... The acoustic properties of a carbon composite sonar array enclosure are adversly affected by incorrect orientation of the subsequent layers of pre-preg fibre when applied during wet-lay construction. However some quadriaxials may contain up the four layers of fibre stiched together in the same orientation ! affraid
